- I love the word "spinefulness" but I disagree that this week's vote represents that. It would have been spinefulness to hold that vote BEFORE the elections, but now it was nothing more than a symbolic political gesture.

- this won't be a popular or p.c. response but as someone squashed by a seatmate, I think Southwest and other airlines are making the right decision. If someone is not able to lower the armrest, that means they are taking up more than one seat.

- Amazing -- 1) Frist's idea that the group that harbored (harbors) ObL should be 'incorporated into the Afghan government' [isn't that up to the Afghan government, excuse me?!] AND 2) commentors here who think this is just a fine idea.
